To mark the start of summer, our first musical wine tasting will feature a selection of summer anthems from the worlds of soul, pop and jazz. These include \u2018Everybody Loves the Sunshine\u2019 by Roy Ayers, \u2018Watermelon Man\u2019 by Herbie Hancock and \u2018Summer Breeze\u2019. These and other classics are given a fresh take by singer, songwriter and curator Stefanie Boltz \u2013 groovy and atmospheric. Because as the days grow longer, we can once again allow ourselves to \u2018waste\u2019 time, just as Otis Redding shows us in his legendary \u2018Sitting on the Dock of the Bay\u2019\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With \u201cMIDSUMMER POEM\u201d, Stefanie Boltz\u2019s new album and programme, which is making its debut at our wine tasting, the duo turns its attention to the most vibrant time of year, when nature showers us with an abundance of images, colours and a wealth of sensory experiences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And on this evening, we will be indulging not only our sense of hearing, but also our senses of taste and smell \u2013 with a selection of fine wines presented at an open-table tasting by the VDP wineries Lanius-Knab from Oberwesel and Matthias M\u00fcller from Spay. What\u2019s more, from 6 pm onwards, you can order regional delicacies to accompany the wine and enjoy them in the vineyard\u2019s cosy garden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
