As small inspiration, we have put a recipe from our grandmother, in which most products in the calendar can be used to prepare a delicious christmas dish.

Grandma’s Red cabbage (christmas side dish)
Ingredients:
1 head of red cabbage
1 yellow onion
2 tbsp clarified butter
2 tbsp sugar
150 ml Lanius-Knab grape juice
2 pears
2 EL Lanius-Knab red wine jelly
3 EL red wine vinegar
Lanius-Knab red wine salt
Lanius-Knab vanilla pepper
2 bay leafs
4 allspice
2 cloves
6 juiper berries
Preparation:
Remove the outer leaves from the cabbage, cut into quarters and remove the stalk. Cut or slice the cabbage into very fine strips. Peel and finely dice the onion. Heat the clarified butter in a roasting pot and fry the onion until translucent. Sprinkle over the sugar and allow to caramelise. Add the red cabbage and cubed pear and fry for 5 mins. Deglaze with red wine vinegar, pour in the grape juice and add the jelly. Season the cabbage with red wine salt, bourbon vanilla pepper, juniper berries, bay leaf, cloves and allspice, cover and simmer in the oven at 140°C for 2 hours. Season to taste with salt, sugar and vinegar and leave to simmer uncovered for a further hour. If necessary, thicken further with cornflour.
