Description
The off-dry Pinot Noir Rosé is a wine everyone will enjoy. Its almost pink hue makes hearts flutter, yet it will delight gentlemen as well. Juicy raspberries merge with delicate notes of elderberry to create a smooth, full-bodied taste experience. The wine is soft and rounded, carried by a subtle hint of pepper that adds depth. Fruity, charming, and lively – the perfect companion for warm summer evenings, perfectly combining pleasure, lightness, and conviviality.
The Pinot Noir is regarded as a very demanding grape variety and is therefore only grown in the most suitable vineyards. Opposite the Schönburg castle near Oberwesel lies the vineyard Engehöller Bernstein in the side valley of the Rhine. The wine is grown here on steep slopes. The slate soils dominate the ground. In our Pinot Noir locations there is also clay over the Hunsrueck slate. This is clay, which has arisen from the middle terraces of the Rhine. This type of soil is very beneficial for Pinot Noir wines. The result is a full-bodied Pinot Noir, which, thanks to a short skin contact, becomes an intensively flavored and fruity rosé wine.
This semi-dry rosé wine is a perfect match for the first spring days or a balmy summer evening on the terrace. The hot vintage of 2024 brings out its fruity character. We recommend to serve it with summer salads spiced with fresh herbs. In combination with an unsweetened fruit salad, it appears refreshing. The ideal companion for a sophisticated girl’s night or a genial reunion with friends.
