Description
The semi-dry Pinot noir rosé wine is a wine for everybody. Its pink color makes women’s hearts beat faster, but also men will appreciate it. It has an intensive scent of juicy grapefruit and crisp strawberries with a hint of orange. The various fruits echo in the taste. The minerality of the slate soils is shown of besides the delicate tannins. With its flattering sweetness and a lucid structure this rosé wine immediately animates you for the next sip.
The Pinot Noir is regarded as a very demanding grape variety and is therefore only grown in the most suitable vineyards. Opposite the Schönburg castle near Oberwesel lies the vineyard Engehöller Bernstein in the side valley of the Rhine. The wine is grown here on steep slopes. The slate soils dominate the ground. In our Pinot Noir locations there is also clay over the Hunsrueck slate. This is clay, which has arisen from the middle terraces of the Rhine. This type of soil is very beneficial for Pinot Noir wines. The result is a full-bodied Pinot Noir, which, thanks to a short skin contact, becomes an intensively flavored and fruity rosé wine.
This semi-dry rosé wine is a perfect match for the first spring days or a balmy summer evening on the terrace. The hot vintage of 2020 brings out its fruity character. We recommend to serve it with summer salads spiced with fresh herbs. In combination with an unsweetened fruit salad, it appears refreshing. The ideal companion for a sophisticated girl’s night or a genial reunion with friends.
